Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh or canned tomatoes, chopped
- 2 cups tomato juice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup basil leaves, chopped
- 1 cup cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Combine tomatoes, juice, and broth in saucepan. Simmer for 30 minutes, then cool. Blend tomato mixture with basil in a food processor. Return to saucepan.
Add cream, butter, salt, and pepper. Heat until butter melts.
