Medias Lunas (argentinian treats)

The medias lunas are sold in bakeries and its price is determined by the dozen, but is also sold individually. They are consumed at breakfast or lunch or commonly accompanies mate at different times of day.
Here in Chile we adore medias lunas, in many caffes you can eat with some coffe or tea.

- 1 tablespoon of dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of plain flour
- 1/3 cup of warm water
- Dough
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 100 grs. of butter
- 1/2 cup of warm water
- 3 cups of plain flour
- pinch of salt
- 2 yolk egg with one teaspoon of water

Method
To the yeast mixture
In a bowl put the dry yeast with the flour and sugar. Add warm water and stir well. Cover and allow the yeast to ferment in a warm place for 10 to 15 minutes.
For the dough
In a bowl put the eggs, sugar and melted butter with 1 / 2 cup warm water to incorporate all very well, add flour and salt, mix and add the yeast mixture. Incorporate well.
Knead on a flat surface a little to make a dough. Set aside by 30 minutes
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin. With a knife cut rectangular strips and then make
triangles.
To made Medias Lunas: roll each triangle from base to tip ends to take the center giving the shape of the Medias lunas.
Butter and floured an baking tray.
Place the Medias lunas in the tray and brush with egg yolk.
Preheat oven to 190 ° C.
Bake for about 15 minutes.Or until will be lightly browned.
Serve with coffee or tea or breakfast.
