Ingredients
- For the Cake:
- 2/3 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 2 c. apple butter
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- Dash of salt
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, optional
- For the Glaze:
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla bean paste or 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp. milk

Preparation
Step 1
For the Cake:
1.Melt the butter. Add the sugars, apple butter and vanilla and stir together. Let cool slightly. Sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Stir into the apple butter mixture. Add pecans, if desired. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350* for 35 minutes. Let cool slightly.
For the Glaze:
2.Melt the butter. Stir in the powdered sugar and vanilla paste. Whisk in the milk. Pour over the warm cake.
