Apple Pie Filling


Makes 7 quarts canned pie filling

  • 4 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 C cornstarch
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 3 T lemon juice
  • 6 lbs apples peeled and sliced



Step 1

In large pot blend sugar, cornstarch, cinn and nutmeg. Stir in 10 C water. Cook until thick. Cool partially then add lemon juice. Add sliced apples to mixture and spoon into jars. Process in hot water bath for 20 min.
