Ingredients
- 3 C flour
- 2 t cream of tartar
- 1 t baking powder
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 C shortening
- 1 C sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 t vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Sift dry ingredients in a large bowl, cut in shortening.
In separate bowl beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla.
Pour egg mixture into flour mixture and mix well.
Shape dough into small balls and press down with the bottom of a sugared glass.
Preheat oven and bake 8-10 minutes or until bottom browns.
