Maple and mustard baked sausages

Ingredients

  • 16 good-quality pork sausages
  • 6 tbsp maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp grain mustard

Step 1

Make the sausages smaller by twisting them halfway along to form two sausages. Separate with scissors. Mix the maple syrup, mustard and some seasoning in a bowl. Add the sausages and turn them around in it. Place in a roasting-tin or a shallow baking-dish (preferably one you can serve from) and roast for about 25 minutes in an oven preheated to 200°C/400°F/gas mark 6. Turn the sausages round every so often and baste them with their juices. The liquid will reduce and the sausages will end up glazed and sticky.
