Chop Suey

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, diced
  • 1 carrot, peeled and diced
  • 1 lb chop suey meat
  • 1 can of bean sprouts (do not drain)
  • 2 tbs flour
  • 1/4 cup iced water
  • chop suey noodles

Preparation

Step 1

In a small pot, fill with water and a little bit of sugar. Add onion, celery and carrot. Boil 15-20 minutes.

Brown 1 lb chop suey meat in a pan. Add the vegetables into the meat. Add a can of bean sprouts and juice. Simmer for 45 minutes, covered at lowest heat.

Make an umper with 2 tbs flour and 1/4 cup iced water until thick. Add to meat mixture. Make rice and chop suey noodles.
