Ingredients
- 8 green apples, chopped
- 2 lemons, juice & zest
- 1/2 cup of butter or coconut oil

Over medium heat in a large enameled cast iron or stainless pot, simmer the apples, lemon juice, and butter - stirring occasionally until the fruit is soft, approximately 15-20 minutes.
Create a texture of your choice by either mashing the apples right in the pot with a potato masher, leaving it chunky (as-is cooked), or by blending it until it is smooth.
Garnish with lemon zest to serve.
