Ingredients
- 2 (1.25lb) packets of ground turkey – I used 93% fat free
- 1/3 cup of purified water
- 1 tablespoon black pepper (or, to taste)
- 1 tablespoon sea salt (or, to taste)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
- 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Herbes de Provence
- 1/2 teaspoon Lemon pepper (optional)
- Finely diced green onions (for garnishing)
Preparation
Step 1
Make sure your turkey is thawed, and that your needed ingredients and kitchen tools are out/ready to use.
Place skillet under medium heat, add ground turkey and purified water (we add the water so the turkey doesn’t stick/burn).
Using a wooden spoon, break down the ground meat; this will allow it to cook well. (Note: Here, you can either close the skillet with a lid or leave it open; if you add the lid, your turkey will probably cook faster)
Add the rest of the ingredients…all of those tasty spices!
Using a wooden spoon, stir ingredients together. You want your ground turkey to get an even taste of all that spice!
Cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until your turkey meat is no longer pink.
Let cool for a bit and top with green onions.
