Ham Glaze- The In-Law Glaze-Providence Journal

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup brandy (optional)
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1/2 cup golden raisins
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Combine brown sugar and cornstarch. Stir in water and brandy. Cook, stirring constantly, until clear and thickened. Stir in remaining ingredients. Thirty minutes before ham is done, remove from oven.
Spoon glaze onto surface of ham. Continue baking.
Serve any extra glaze with ham.
