Baked Bacon

Ingredients

  • Thick cut bacon
  • 1/4 cup real maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped raw pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place a greased wire rack in a foil-lined 15 x 10 jelly roll pan. Dip bacon slices in the syrup, letting excess drop off. Press bacon into shallow dish of pecans. Make sure pecans adhere to both sides of the bacon. Arrange bacon in a single layer on the rack and bake for 20 minutes. Turn and bake about 5 minutes more - until browned and crisp. Remove from oven and let stand 5 minutes before handling.
