Orange juice cake

  • Cake:
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1/4 C butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 3 t baking powder
  • 1/2 t baking soda
  • 2 C flour
  • 1 C orange juice (if fresh squeezing pulp may be used)
  • Icing:
  • 3 C powdered sugar
  • 2 T orange juice
  • 2 T butter

Step 1


Preheat oven to 350 and grease and lightly flour 9 X 13" cake pan.

Cream together sugar, butter, and eggs. Add salt, baking powder, baking soda, and flour alternating with orange juice into the creamed mixture mixing well.

Beat 2 minutes once combined.

Pour into prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until tooth pick inserted comes out clean.

Allow to cool completely before icing.


Beat together all ingredients until smooth and creamy. If too thick add a little more juice if a little too thin add a little more powdered sugar.
