Candied sweet potatoes (Zach Suhre)

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 4-5 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4 in slices
  • 1/4 cup water



Step 1

Melt butter in skillet, add sugar and water. Stir until dissolved. Lay sweet potato slices in syrup mixture, sprinkle salt over potatoes. Cook on medium high heat until mixture becomes a candied consistency.
