Ingredients

  • 2 cups oats
  • 1/3 c milled flax
  • 1/4 c chopped walnuts
  • 1/4 c slivered almonds
  • 2 tsp grd cinnamon
  • 1/3 c OJ
  • 1/3 c honey
  • 1/4 c packed brown sugar
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla or maple extract
  • cooking spray
  • 1/3 c dried cranberries or blueberries

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 300*F

2. Combine first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl

3. Combine OJ, honey and brown sugar in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat just until sugar dissolves, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; stir in oil and vanilla.

4. Pour honey mix over oat mix, stirring to coat. Spread mix in a thin layer onto a jelly-roll pan coated with cooking spray. Bake at 300*F for 10 mins, stir well. Bake an additional 10-15 mins or until golden. Spoon granola into a bowl; stir in dried cranberries. Cool completely.

Will store a room temp in sealed container for up to 2 weeks.
