Ingredients
- 4 - 5 oz (fresh or frozen) 1 inch thick Ahi Tuna Steaks
- 1 T extra Virgin Olive oil
- 1/2 t sea salt
- 1/2 t lemon juice (fresh lemon)
- 1/4 t cracked black pepper
- 1/2 t finely chopped oregano or 1/4 t dried
- 1/4 t red pepper flakes or dash crushed dried
- 1 t finely chopped basil or 1/4 t dried
- 1 clove minced garlic
Preparation
Step 1
1. Pat dry tuna steaks
2. Mix all spices with oil and lemon juice in a small bowl using a fork or wisk. Allow to rest for 5 minutes to mix all the flavors.
3. Brush mixture on both side of tuna steaks and let rest for 5 minutes
4. Grill 2-5 minutes on each side. Best is warm red inside (Rare) - 2 minutes on each side.
