Cabbage Roll Casserole

Ingredients

  • Large head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 cups rice, cooked
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 16 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 28 ounce can chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 bay leaf 1 tsp. garlic
  • 8 ounce can sauerkraut, drained
  • 6 gingersnaps, crumbled

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all ingredients in dutch oven. Bring to boil on stove, then reduce to simmer 45 min. to 1 hour until flavors are combined.
