Ingredients
- bars (cake):
- 4 eggs
- 1 C salad oil (vegetable)
- 2 C sugar
- 15 oz pureed pumpkin (fresh cooked or canned)
- 2 C flour
- 2 t baking powder
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 t baking soda
- 2 t cinnamon
- 1/2 t ginger
- 1/2 t ground cloves
- 1/2 t nutmeg
- shortening to grease pan + additional flour for pan
- Frosting:
- 1 6-8 oz pkg of cream cheese
- 3/4 stick of butter (3/4 C)
- 1 T cream or milk
- 1 t vanilla
- 4 C powdered sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Cream eggs, oil, sugar, and pumpkin.
Sift remaining dry ingredients into the creamed mixture. Mix well and pour into greased and floured baking pan.
Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes until tooth pick inserted comes out clean.
Set aside and cool before frosting
Frosting:
Cream ingredients until desired consistency adding a little extra powdered sugar if necessary to thicken or a little more cream or milk to thin if too thick.
Once bars are cool frost, cut and serve.
