Ingredients

  • Pastry for 9" one-crust pie

  • 12

    slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled

  • 1

    cup shredded natural swiss cheese (4 oz.)

  • cup finely chopped onion

  • 4

    eggs

  • 2

    cups whipping cream

  • ¾

    tsp. salt

  • ¼

    tsp. black pepper

  • tsp. ground red pepper

Directions

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare pastry. Sprinkle bacon, cheese, onion in pastry-lined pie plate. Beat eggs slightly; beat in remaining ingredients. Pour into pie plate. Bake uncovered 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 300 degrees. Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean, about 30 minutes longer. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
