Ingredients
- 1 pkg Wontons
- 1 lb Italian Sausage
- 1 Onion (diced)
- 1 Bell Pepper (diced)
- 1 pkg Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 jar Spaghetti Sauce (I like Ragu)
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1 tblsp Cornstarch
- Oil for frying
- Parmesan Cheese for sprinkling
Preparation
Step 1
Brown sausage with onion and bell pepper.
Add enough sauce just to bind the ingredients.
Mix water & cornstarch in a small bowl and set aside.
Lay out Wonton wrappers.
Place approximately 2 tblsp of filling in each wonton wrapper and enough Mozzarella to make them good and gooey.
Using your finger, dip into cornstarch mixture and run finger around the edges of each wonton to seal.
Fold in two opposite points of wonton, then roll.
(At this point they can be frozen on a cookie sheet, then placed into a Ziploc after they are frozen.)
Or you can heat your oil and fry those babies up. Turn to brown on each side. (these don't take long so don't over cook or they will burst)
Drain on paper towels & sprinkle with Parmesan.
Serve with a bowl of heated Sauce for dipping.
