  • 4

    C flour

  • 1 1/4

    C white sugar

  • 2

    t salt

  • 2

    t baking powder

  • 1 1/3

    C milk

Directions

Preheat oven to 425 and grease a flat baking sheet. Sift together flour, 1 C of the sugar, baking powder, and salt. Then add 1 3/4 C of the melted butter mixing until it becomes dough. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead about 10 times. Roll dough out with a rolling pin into a large rectangle. Brush the remaining butter. Sprinkle dough with the remaining sugar and cinnamon. Roll the dough up into one long roll and slice into 8-10 pieces. Lay each piece of cut dough on the prepared baking sheet and flatten into a round. Then bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. When done baking place each on a cooling rack to cool. Blend all the glaze ingredients, adding a little more milk or powdered sugar until the right consistency is reached. Once the pastries are cooled, brush on the glaze and let set.
