Ginger Marinated Tuna with Wasabi Butter

  • 1/3 cup rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoon Sugar
  • 3 tablespoon dry sherry
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 4 tuna steaks
  • 2 tablespoon wasabi powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt



Step 1

Whisk vinegar, sugar, sherry, soy sauce, chili sauce, and sesame oil until
sugar is dissolved.

Stir in scallions, garlic, and ginger. Pour marinade into a large
resealable plastic bag.

Add tuna, seal the bag, and marinate in refrigerator 20 minutes.

Brush grill with cooking oil and preheat grill to medium high. Remove tuna
from bag, discard marinade, and coat steaks with nonstick spray. Grill to
desired degree of doneness.

Stir together wasabi powder and orange juice. Blend in butter and salt.
Refrigerate until ready to use. Place dab on top of tuna steaks.
