Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup onion; chopped
- 1 cup green pepper; chopped
- 1 clove garlic; minced
- 1 pound lean stew meat; 1/2 inch cubes
- 1/2 pound sausage
- 15 oz Tomato puree
- 10-1/2 oz beef broth
- 1-1/2 cups Water
- 6 oz Tomato paste
- 4 oz green chile; diced
- 3 tablespoon chili powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
- 15 oz chili beans
- 15 oz kidney beans

Step 1
In 6-quart saucepan, heat oil and saute onion, green pepper and garlic 3 -
4 minutes or until tender. Add stew meat and sausage, stirring to crumble
sausage; cook 5 - 6 minutes. Blend in tomato puree, broth, water, tomato
paste, green chiles, chili powder, cumin, salt, sugar, oregano and cayenne
pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer uncovered 1-1/2 hours,
stirring occasionally. Mix in beans. Cover and simmer an additional 45 - 50
minutes.
