Pasta Sauce: Marinara Sauce

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/3 cup finely diced onion
  • 1 28 oz. crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 4 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 cup white wine

Preparation

Step 1

Saute onion in olive oil for 2 minutes over medium heat in large pot. Mix tomatoes with remaining ingredients except wine and add to pot. Simmer 10 minutes. Add wine and simmer for 30 minutes longer.
