Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 c. shortening
  • 2/3 c. butter
  • 2 t. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 t. baking powder
  • 1 t. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat over to 375 degrees. Mix together shortening, butter, vanilla and sugar. Add in eggs. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Blend at low speed for 30 seconds then mix on medium speed until well blended and gathered together (3 min.). Roll in 1" balls and dip into mixture of 2 T. sugar and 2 T. cinnamon. Place on ungreased baking sheet for 8-10 minutes.
