Apple Tart in Puff Pastry

  • 1 Lb. puff pastry, 1/8 inch thick
  • 12 medium golden-delicious apples, peeled, cored, quartered, and thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 6 Tbsp.. unsalted butter, cut into small dice


Servings 6
Cooking time 20mins


Step 1

preheat oven to 400 degree's
spread out puff pastry on lightly floured board
place 6 inch round cake pan or an inverted bowl on dough and cit out 6 tarts with knife or pastry cutter
using a long spatula, transfer rounds to 2 lightly buttered baking pans
using 2 apples for each tart arrange slices on pastry in a continuous spiral, beginning with outer edge
sprinkle 2 Tbsp. of brown sugar on each tart, then dot with butter
bake for 20-25 mins. or until edges are lightly browned
remove from oven put on wire rack
scoop pan juices on top of tart
