Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tbsp baking soda
Preparation
Step 1
Mix sugar, corn syrup amd water in large, heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved and mixture boils. Continue cooking without stirring to soft crack stage, 285 F. Remove from heat. Gently but quickly stir in baking soda (candy will foam). At once, pour into buttered 9-by-13-inch pan. Do not spread. Cool. Break into pieces. Store in tightly covered container.
