Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
- 3/4 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar (dark brown preferred)
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare pans.
Cream butter and sugars, add eggs one at a time, add banana and beat well. Stir in sifted dry ingredients, stir just until blended. Add nuts.
Bake for about 50 minutes. Do not over bake.
Note: If optionals are not used it only makes one loaf.
