Corn Meal Pancakes

  • 1 Cup of boiling water
  • 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1 T molasses
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp soda
  • 3 T oil


Preparation time 10mins
Cooking time 20mins


Step 1

Pour water over cornmeal. Stir until thick. Add molasses and milk, beat in eggs one at a time. Add flour which has been sifted with salt, baking powder and soda. Stir in oil
