Ingredients
- Base:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/3 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, grated
- 2 egg whites
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Middle:
- 1 1/2 cups icing sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/3 cup butter
- Top:
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate
- 2 1/2 tbsp. butter

Preparation
Step 1
1. Cream butter and 2/3 cup sugar. Stir in vanilla.
2. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately wirth milk, beginning and ending with dry.
3. Beat egg whites with 2 tbsp sugar until stiff
4. Fold in grated chocolate and egg whites.
Pour into greased 9x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 25 min. cool.
5. Combine icing sugar, yolks, and butter, spread over botttom.
6. Melt chocolate and butter and spread over middle. Refrigerate.
