Ingredients
- 1 1/2-2 lbs Round Steak (cut into 1 inch strips)
- 1 Garlic Clove (crushed)
- 1 Cup Chopped Onion
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Ginger
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1/4 Cup Soy Sauce
- 2 Green Peppers (cut into thin strips)
- 4 Tomatoes (cut into thin strips) or 1-1 lb Can Tomatoes
- 1-1 lb Can Bean Sprouts (drained)
- 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
- 1/2 Cup Cold Water

Step 1
Preheat kettle on stove over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add steak and brown (about 10 minutes). Place kettle on base. Combine garlic, onion, salt, pepper, ginger, sugar, and soy sauce and pour over meat. Cover and simmer at setting #3 for 4 hours. One hour before serving, add green pepper, tomato, and bean sprouts. To thicken liquid, increase setting to #5. Combine cornstarch and water. Stir into liquid and let thicken. Keep warm for serving at setting #2.
