Sheath Cake

Ingredients

  • Icing:
  • 1 stick of margarine
  • 1/2 cup crisco
  • 4 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 stick of margarine
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons milk
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together flour, sugar, eggs, vanilla, buttermilk, baking soda and cinnamon.

Melt and bring to a boil margarine, crisco, cocoa and water. Mix well and pour into batter.

Bake for 25 minutes at 400 degrees.

Start icing 5 minutes before cake is done.

Icing: Bring margarine, cocoa and milk to a boil. Remove from heat. Beat in box of powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts. Spread over cake when cake comes out of the oven.
