Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 cups apple; thickly sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup almonds; sliced

Step 1


Blend margarine 1/3 cup sugar and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla. Stir in 1 cup
flour. Press into bottom and sides of ungreased 9 inch springform pan.

Beat 8 ounces cream cheese with 1/4 cup sugar. Add 1 egg and 1/2 teaspoon
vanilla. Pour over crust.

Combine 4 cups apples with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/3 cup sugar Layer
evenly over cream cheese layer.

Sprinkle 1/4 cup almonds on top.

Bake 450°F 10 minutes, 400°F 25 minutes longer. Cool before removing from
pan. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
