Ingredients

  • 2 medium heads cabbage -cook until soft. Cool.
  • 3 pound ground chuck
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 C Uncle Ben's Rice (DO NOT USE INSTANT RICE)
  • Onion salt
  • Garlic salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 large jar sauerkraut (DO NOT RINSE)
  • 2-3 sticks Polish kielbasa
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • (I used 2 tbs vegetal, 1/2 tbs salt and 1 tbs garlic powder)
  • I cored cabbage, put water in and microwaved 20 minutes. Checked the leaves and continued to microwave until leaves were tender.

Preparation

Step 1

Mix ground chuck, eggs, rice, onion salt, garlic salt and pepper. Put 1 heaping tbsp in each leaf - roll. Insert toothpick.

Place 1/2 of the kraut in the bottom of the roaster pan.
Cut the kielbasa into 1 1/2 inch pieces.
Put cabbage rolls and kielbasa into roaster.
Place other 1/2 of the sauerkraut over the rolls.
Dilute 1 can of tomato soup with 1 can water and pour over rolls.
Fill pan with water to cover rolls.

Cover and bake for 2 1/2 hours at 375°. Add kielbasa the last hour.
