Kale Soup with beef

Recipe I tried during my undergrad in a Cultural Foods cooking lab. A Kenyan dish often served alongside cornmeal.

Ingredients
- 1/4 lb beef (like stew meat pieces)
- 1 medium onion
- 4 tsp oil
- 1 bundle kale
- salt
- pepper
- 2 tomatoes

Preparation
Step 1
1. Cut beef into small pieces (if not already).
2. Chop onion and add to frying pan with beef.
3. Add oil and saute 4-5 minutes.
4. Cut kale into small pieces and add to pan.
5. Steam 1-3 minutes.
6. Add spices, to taste
