Rump Roast

Ingredients

  • 1 (4#) rump roast (room temp)
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 T salt
  • 1 T pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 1 Cup water

Preparation

Step 1

Pre-Heat the over to 500 degrees.
Prep the roast by making 4-5 slits in the roast & filling the holes with salt, pepper and 1/2 of the garlic.
Now salt & pepper the outside of the roast.
Put the roast in the oven & sear for 20 minutes.

Reduce the temp to 275 degrees, add the water and chopped onion.
Cook, covered, for 20 minutes per lb: this will give you a rare roast
