Brownies (Mary Heinrick)

Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. cocoa
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 t vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Beat slowly to start; then fast speed for 3 min. Add ½ c. nuts. Bake about 40 min. at 350 in 8” square pan (or double recipe and use 8-1/2 x 13” pan)
