Ingredients

  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Pinch of cumin seed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Combine mixture. Add to fish (haddock, cod, flounder) or meats(especially good with pork), cut into serving-size pieces and refrigerate, covered, overnight.
Before cooking , remove from liquid, pat dry, roll in either flour or cornmeal and fry in hot oil.
