Ingredients
- 2 cups broccoli florets (may substitute string beans for broccoli)
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/4 cup French fried onions
Preparation
Step 1
Place broccoli florets and water in a large microwave safe bow. Cover and heat on high in microwave for 2 minutes. Remove and drain any liquid.
In a medium skillet over medium high heat, melt butter. Cook until golden brown, swirling pan often to prevent burning. Stir in almonds. Remove from heat. Pour browned butter over broccoli in bowl. Add french fried onions. Toss to combine. Serve immediately.
