Ingredients
- 3 pints berries
- 1/2 c white sugar
- 2 1/2 c ap flour
- 4 t baking powder
- 2 T white sugar
- 1/4 t salt
- 1/3 c shortening
- 2/3 c milk
- 2 c whipped cream
Preparation
Step 1
slice berris add 1/2 c sugar. set aside
combine flour, baking powder, 2 T sugar and salt. cut in w/pastry blender. make a well and add egg and milk.
spread batter into prepared pan. Bake at 425 for 15-20 min.
slice cake in half. put berries on 1 half top with other half of cake, then berries, then whipped cream
