Ingredients

  • 1 large orange
  • 1 large lemon
  • 1 lime
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 1/2 C brandy
  • 1/2 C orange liqueur
  • 1 (.75 liters) bottles dry white wine, chilled
  • 1/2 C sugar
  • 1 qt club soda, chilled

Step 1

Slice the fruit thinly and discard any seeds. Place the sliced fruit in a 4 or 5-quart jar. Add the cinnamon sticks, brandy and orange liqueur. Cover and refrigerate a minimum of four hours, preferably 12 hours. Two to three hours before serving, add the white wine and sugar to the fruit-liquor mixture. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Cover the jar and refrigerate until serving time.
Just before serving, remove the cinnamon sticks and add the club soda. Pour sangria into a pitcher containing several ice cubes. Serve the sangria over ice cubes in large wine glasses.
