Ingredients

  • 1

    large orange

  • 1

    large lemon

  • 1

    lime

  • 2

    sticks cinnamon

  • ½

    C brandy

  • ½

    C orange liqueur

  • 1

(.75 liters) bottles dry white wine, chilled

  • ½

    C sugar

  • 1

    qt club soda, chilled

Directions

Slice the fruit thinly and discard any seeds. Place the sliced fruit in a 4 or 5-quart jar. Add the cinnamon sticks, brandy and orange liqueur. Cover and refrigerate a minimum of four hours, preferably 12 hours. Two to three hours before serving, add the white wine and sugar to the fruit-liquor mixture. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Cover the jar and refrigerate until serving time. Just before serving, remove the cinnamon sticks and add the club soda. Pour sangria into a pitcher containing several ice cubes. Serve the sangria over ice cubes in large wine glasses.
