Peppery Steak Soup
By daiseyduck
This should be a spicy, peppery flavor. Serve as a main course with toasty Sour Dough bread. Yummy!!

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground sirloin
- 1 1/2 lb. tenderized round steak
- 1 (medium to lg.) pkg frozen veggies
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 can tomato paste
- 1 small diced onion
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- Salt to taste
- Approx. 1 tsp of cracked peppercorns, then more to taste
- water
Preparation
Step 1
Brown sirloin, drain and set aside. Cut tenderized round steak into thin strips and brown in butter. Add onions and carmelize once the steak is nearly finished. Transfer to a soup pot.
Add 1 - 2 Tsp of flour and create a Roux (as if making a gravy sauce). Stir in enough water to cover the steak and sirloin mixture, plus another 2 cups.
Stir in the soup and paste. Finally add frozen veggies and simmer all for 1/2 hour or until thick and rich.
