Ingredients

  • 3 pieces of red or pink construction paper
  • Glitter Glue
  • Blender
  • 1 1/2 cups of HOT water (as hot as your faucet will give you)
  • Heart shaped cookie cutter

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees. Tear your construction paper into medium sized squares. Add to the blender with the HOT water. Let this sit for about 5 minutes. Pulse the paper and water in the blender for about 30 seconds or until your mixture looks more like pulp. Place a kitchen towel on a plate and lay a paper towel over top (absorb the water). Place the heart shaped cookie cutter on top of the paper towel and begin spooning the mixture into the cookie cutter. Make sure to fill it up all the way to the top. Once you have it smooth, add glitter and press down gently. Carefully remove the heart and place it on a baking sheet. Repeat this process until you have the amount of hearts you would like. Place the hearts into the oven and bake for about 2 to 2 1/2 hours. When they are finished you will fill no more moisture. Sign the back with your favorite Valentine's Day message and give them out to your loved ones!

Now I bought paper at dollar store could have been smaller and not so thick. I used 1 1/4 cups of hot water and it wasn't so much water to absorb. Also I took a towel on top and pressed to get all the water out. Took the glitter glue traced the heart and put Cole's init's.
