Ingredients
- 2 tablesppons butter (first amount)
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt (or less)
- 2 cups milk
- 6 cups sliced potatoes (not packed)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter (first amount) in large saucepan, stir in flour and salt, then add milk slowly, stirring until sauce thickens. Add potatoes and heat, stirring until sauce boils again. Turn into a greased casserole being sure all potatoes are coated with sauce. Drizzle melted butter over. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour or until potatoes are tender
Note: After melted butter has been added this can be refrigerated, covered, until baking time.
