Apple and Nut Cake ( Frances Tite)

Ingredients

  • Cake :
  • 1 ) 3 stick butter
  • 2 ) 2 eggs
  • 3 ) 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 4 ) 2 cups flour
  • 5 ) 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 6 ) 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 7 ) 5 big apples (peeled and sliced)

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter and let cool completely. Beat butter with eggs and evaporated milk. Then add flour, sugar and baking powder and continue to beat the mixture until it is fully incorporated. Grease and flour 13x9 pan and put apples on the bottom.

Filling:
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cinnamon

Combine the nuts, sugar and cinnamon; put half of this mixture over the apples. Then on top of this add the cake mixture and top with the other half of the filling mixture. Bake at 350 approximately 40 minutes. Serve warm.
