Seven-Layer Salad

Ingredients

  • Dressing:
  • Hearts of romaine lettuce
  • 3 spring onions, diced fine
  • 1 (15 oz.) can LeSueur very small peas, drained
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded mild Cheddar cheese
  • 2 med. tomatoes, diced
  • 3 eggs, hard-boiled & chopped
  • 1 lb. bacon, fried-crisp & broken in pieces
  • 1 c. Miracle Whip
  • 1/4 c. Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 T. garlic powder
  • 1 T. sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Layer salad ingredients according to above order.
Dressing:
Put all ingredients in a jar and shake. If too thin, add a little Miracle Whip. If too thick add a dot of milk to your preference. Pour dressing on top of salad and toss lightly just before serving.

Note: You can use 2 heads of romaine lettuce, cleaned and chopped or 1 package of prepared romaine lettuce.
