Ingredients
- 1 package (7 ounces) coconut (2 2/3 cups)
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 6 Tablespoons flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 egg whites
- 1 teaspoon almond extract

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
Mix coconut, sugar, flour and salt in bowl. Stir in egg whites and extract until blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased and floured cookie sheet.
Bake 20 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire racks.
Chocolate Macaroons: Stir in 2 squares melted Semi-Sweet Chocolate with egg whites.
