Place ingredients in your breadmaker in the recommended order. Set the timer, and press start. Wait for it. Wait for it. Wait for it. Enjoy!
Footnotes:
1. Cuban Bread is similar to French bread in taste and texture. If you have a French bread or crusty setting on your bread-maker, you can use it for this bread.
2. If you don’t have a bread-maker, or want to make it by hand, use the ingredients list and follow a French bread recipe for kneading, rising, shaping, and baking instructions.
3. Add 1 tsp. butter or 1 tsp. olive oil with the water to help it slide out of the baking pan.
4. For Crusty Garlic Rosemary Bread: add 1-2 tsp. minced garlic and 1-2 tsp. crushed rosemary.
5. Substitute 1 cup whole wheat flour for 1 cup of bread flour for extra fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
This particular recipe is for a 1 1/2 pound loaf of bread so adjust accordingly. After bread is done, if not eating it right away, cool completely before wrapping it up.
