Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp; peeled, deveined
- 2 tablespoon tasso or cajum sausage; chopped fine
- 1 stick Butter
- 1 pint half and half
- 1 bunch green onions; chopped, tops, too
- 4 cloves garlic; chopped
- 1-2 tablespoon creole seasoning
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup pecorino romano cheese; at end on top
- 1 pound rotelli pasta; cooked
Preparation
Step 1
Cook pasta according to the directions on the package. Drain, then rinse
under cool water. Drain again, thoroughly. Melt the butter in a large pot
and saute onions and sausage for 3 minutes. Add the seafood and garlic and
saute for 2 minutes. Add the half and half, then add several creole
seasoning, cayenne pepper and paprika. Cook for 5 - 10 minutes over medium
heat until the sauce thickens. Add the pasta and toss well. Let it sit for
10 minutes or so over very low heat, stirring often. Serve immediately.
