Potatoes Grand Mere

This incredible recipe is quite perfect, and such a special, rich dish I only serve it at Easter or Christmas dinner.
Ingredients
- 8 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/8" slices
- salt and white pepper to taste
- 2-1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 3 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Step 1
Layer sliced potatoes in a 9x13" glass baking dish and season with salt and white pepper. Combine cream, mustard, garlic, and butter in heavy saucepan and heat just to the boiling point. Pour over potatoes.
Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove cover and evenly top with Parmesan cheese. Bake 30 minutes longer or until cheese is golden brown and potatoes are tender. Serve immediately.
